Hi, I’m Stephanie Coder.
I’m a mom of two little ones and work in finance by day, but at heart I’ve always been a writer-a daydreamer and storyteller.
Spare moments are rare these days, but when I find one, I’m using it to either work on my novel in progress, write personal essays on motherhood, blog about mental health, or draft short stories.
I grew up in Southeast Asia and have traveled to more than 40 countries before settling on a small farm in New Jersey with my husband, our two kids, and a dog.
I’m currently working on a coming-of-age novel set in 1990s Alabama about a free-spirited girl who never quite fits in, a hometown boy deeply rooted to the land, and the unlikely friendship that changes both of their lives.
I write character-driven fiction that often explores themes surrounding redemption, second chances, hope and love. If it doesn’t have a love story somewhere in it, I probably didn’t write it.
I’d love to stay in touch. Subscribe to my substack/newsletter for essays, book updates, and new writing by clicking the button below!
